  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Illuminated Door Sills?

Interesting photo above. I have the cashmere interior with the dark brown cocoa carpeting. My OEM, but add-on sills are black, not light beige, around the Genesis name. ????

Funny, I recall a guy here about two years ago telling me that he had black carpeting in his cashmere interior. He just wouldn't believe me that it was dark cocoa brown.

Care to post a pic of your sills and carpet? Like to see if I can tell the difference.

For reference black and beige scuffs below.

No pics. Lighting can differ. Don't need the debate.

By the way, your photo from today makes the brown one look very different from your photo from yesterday. Why did yesterday's photo look light beige around the Genesis name? Your photo from today is accurate.

The beige one in my photo is the non illuminated scuff plate.

Correct Scuff Plates Installed

Installed the correct beige (M5) Scuff Plates the other day. Subtle change but it's all the small details that bring a car together. Not sure why I didn't install these years ago.

Nice how Hyundai taped the connector to the wire loom making it easy to install. Would highly suggest buying an interior trim removal set for removing these. Plastic on plastic is much better than a metal screwdriver on plastic. Got my 11 piece ABN kit from amazon for $18.
