  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just wanted to introduce myself to this forum. I am the proud owner of a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. It is by far the best car I've ever owned. Once I figure out how I'll post a picture, but it is white with dark tinted windows and red Brembo brake calipers. I run it stock except I use Premium Fuel and a K&N Stock Replacment Air-Filter.

Thanks,

Craig Fitz

what other cars were serious contenders before you finalized your decision?

im so mad, i live in new york and the only models that were available to me and other dealerships around my area including out of state new jersey were the base model 2.0 and 3.8. i desperately wanted the 3.8 GT and every dealership i went to told me sorry, thye have not produced that model yet. im sooooooooooo jealous that so many people have other models other than the base models.

Was in Woodbridge area of VA and the lots were loaded with gtS...SEVERAL THOUSAND UNDER STICKER

uhhhhhhhhhhhh drooling! when i was searchingfor a car i went to get the Genesis sedan, and i told the guy i should have been in this car yesterday! he said well if u can wait another week we are getting the coupe's in from GA. I had no idea what the coupe lookedlike and when i seen it i said well ill take the GT lol. i ended up waiting for another week to get the 2.0T in black because all they were receiving in my state were greys and the darker blue. i gave them a call the other day and he still didnt get his hands on anything other than base models.

Yeah I think the track edition gives you the extra control you need to punch the 300+ hp engine it has (relativity) safely. I admit I like the rush of going 80-120 miles per hour in the middle of the desert. Once you leave Las Vegas and its suburbs it's wide open desert road, and it is so exhilarating going out to the middle of nowhere with my GC and really opening her up. Those huge brakes that come with the track edition along with the long range visibility you get in the desert make me feel safe about going high speeds.

To answer the question in the first reply; I was considering either the GC, 2010 Mustang GT, or the 2009 Mitsubishi Evo. The GC won out mainly due to it's long warranty, and financial stability of its manufacturer.

Welcome. Out in the desert, you are gonna love the track version. Where I live the roads are shiat so I would opt for the less tightly wound GT as a daily driver. But in the desert, those roads are like buttah!

tell me about it, i live in NYC's suburbs. pot holes and road elevations keep me from getting a little saucy. i got my first boo boo Saturday before last entering a parking lot. under 5mph scuffed the passenger side bumpers under body. pretty mad even though you can't see it unless i told you where it is, but i know its there
