  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Guys,
I'm new here and I just want to ask a tight question! (well for me)

By next month, I'll be getting my new car! Just sharing. So these are my choices FRS/BRZ, Impreza WRX (not the STi) and Genesis Coupe 2.0t.
But my main choices are GC and Impreza not really FRS/BRZ since its really small and slow but it looks good I admit.

So which one should I get and why? between these 2? Lately I've been digging through impreza's informations. Since they both got Turbos and They are about at the same price and horses, I'm really confused. But as of now, I'm so convinced in getting subaru. Please help me decide!!!

Comments/Opinions will be deeply appreciated! :grouphug:

Welcome. In my opinion, the Impreza concept is very outdated (and the Subaru/Toyota/Scion FRS/BRZ is too little too late). Also, if you are taller than like 5'5", either of those will be very cramped. Aside from performance (depends on the GC model), the Genesis Coupe is very exotic and new, very today, and it has lots of room up front for those of us who are taller. I also wanted a properly fast V6 instead of being limited to a screaming 4-banger.

The GC is also larger (mid-sized like the Sedan) and trust me, it turns a LOT of heads. I participate in a local classic car show and sometimes get more questions and drools than the muscle car guys. No one will notice or care about yet another small 4-door box that's supposedly fast. The curb appeal alone of the Genesis Coupe is amazing - people think it's a Bentley, a Ferrari, an Aston Martin, etc. Nobody will ever mistake an Impreza for anything but a Corrolla or Sentra or another version of the Impreza/Evo.

Again, these are my opinions, but this was how I reasoned out buying my Coupe instead of the other choices last year. Hope that helps ;)

I have a Genesis sedan and really like the coupe but needed more room. However, I'm constantly amazed by stories of people mistaking Genesis for Bentleys, Astons, Mercedes, whatever. I've got Genesis badges on mine instead of Hyundai and I can understand how someone may not know what it is but, how uniformed do you have to be about cars to make those kind of mistakes and why would I be impressed by what those people thought.

WRX is easier to modify and better bang for the buck doing so, is more utilitarian, and is AWD (if you need it).

Genesis is less common on the road, sportier, and handles better out of the box (if you don't intend to modify).

What's most important to you?

I have always been a fan of the Boxer motor (have one in my motorcycle in my signature - the Valkyrie has a 6 cyl boxer motor).

It all comes down to what are you going to do with it?

I had a guy in a Bently GTc give my car a double take this weekend... hilarious.
