If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So after the issues with the AP Kit I went ahead with the Injen Kit. I’ve only seen one other person on these forums that said they fitted the Injen kit to a G70, I shot them a PM to see how their kit worked but haven’t gotten a response. For the most part the Injen Kit fits fine on a G70 but there are some things to be aware of.
- Air Filters: The provided are filters have an overall length of 9”. Because of this they have contact issues at multiple points. Driver side filter cap touches a body seam. Filter side touches a body seam and touches a mounting tab for the factory air box. Passenger side filter cap touches a body seam. Filter side touches a wiring harness. Fix: I ordered a pair of Spectre filters P/N 9131. These are 6” overall length. These filters still have one contact point on either side but that’s remedied by adjusting the intake pipe mounting angle slightly. And I mean very slightly.
- PCV Line & Vac Line Hoses: The replacement hoses provided in the kit aren’t really up to the task without modification. I had to trim about 1/4” off of the vac line hose for a better fit, it’s a tough fit but it works. PCV Line Hose, this one I couldn’t get to work without a major kink so I modified the OE PCV valve hose by cutting about half of it off and using the actual molded hose to match up to the odd angle of the bung on the intake pipe. I’m a little impressed with myself as to how well it turned out.

Other than these few things the Injen Kit fits fine on a G70. I emailed Injen with my concerns, and some pics of said concerns, and the response I got back was that they had never actually test fit their kit to a G70 and did not recommend going off of “if it fits a Stinger then it should fit a G70”. I’m not sure if Injen plans on test fitting a G70 but if they don’t I wouldn’t be surprised as the G70 market is pretty small comparatively.
Does it kinda suck that I had to buy a new set of filters to fit my new kit? Yes, it does. But that’s also something we, as G70 owners, are going to have to be aware of when going by the “it fit a Stinger so it should fit a G70”. Am I satisfied with the Injen kit? I am now after buying another $40 in filters. It would be nice if Injen does do a full test fit on a G70 and update the kit as needed, but I’m not expecting them to do anything about my situation.
I did note that some of the Stinger installs of the same kit had complaints about the fitment of the PCV & Vac Line hoses, but I didn’t see any complaints about the filters themselves. It is possible that 1) I got the wrong filters in my kit or 2) Stinger engine bays are just different enough that intake kits from any manufacturer are not going to be an apples to apples fitment between the two cars.
I’ll post up some pics in a bit, my G is being detailed right now but when she’s clean again I’ll pop the hood.

For comparison here are the Injen filters that came in the kit.

Ironically everything you have addressed from what I’ve seen is the same issues on the stinger. Fitment wasn’t the best. I helped install one on a buddies stinger and there were a couple oe hoses we had to cut and make fit since the supplies ones didn’t work at all

I'll tack on to @hi_im_pancake post since hes helped me out a bit and I just finished my injen install about 30 minutes ago.

So I started off by doing the passenger side and overall I was satisfied with the fit and ease of install. Since you use the stock blow off valve hose there is no modification of hoses needed. From removal of stock hardware to install of injen kit probably took maybe 20 minutes.

Now for the drivers side. I knew it would be quite a bit more challenging and it definitely didnt let me down. I decided, against @hi_im_pancake advice to use a different hose, to use the supplied hoses from injen. So I started off putting the 2 1/4 hose fitting on the turbo and got the clamps pre tightened as to not have to mess with their positions once the intake tubing was in. I then slipped the tubing in to get an idea of alignment for the vac and crank case hoses...and this is where reality struck...this is not a G70 kit. I went back and referenced this post to see pics of pancakes alignment and I was not quite matching up so I started messing around and measuring the hoses to trim them properly. I started with the blow off valve hose since it was the one hose I knew I couldn't trim, or at least decided I wouldn't be. I then went for the crank case hose and this one was a bitch. Finally worked it fully onto the fitting and but managed to pull the intake tubing out of the turbo coupling. That took some elbow grease to get worked back in since I now had two of the three hoses hooked up. At this point I was satisfied with the fitment of the two hoses but I knew the vac hose would be tricky for sure. I almost had to cut the hose in half to make it fit between the small gap between the two fittings. Finally worked the hose on and went to put the clamps on and I slipped with the pliers only to look back at the hose and see that it has a tear in it. Pretty sure the teeth on the pliers did it so my short term fix was wrapping it up in black electrical tape. Looks fine and should do the trick as the hose was not completely torn through. Finally got to the point of tightening everything down and putting the filter on. The drivers side took me probably 1.5 hours cuz of a few mistakes and just the fact that it's a tight squeeze in there and the dang hoses are a PITA. Maybe less time, I didnt really record start to finish and I took a few breaks for water as it was super hot in the garage (I was working on a semi hot engine cuz I am inpatient lol) and I was sweating pretty heavy.

Overall I am satisfied with the fit. I am a bit sad that the two sides are not symmetrical but I got it as close as I could. After putting the filters in, i will more than likely be keeping the injen ones. Drivers side is a bit tighter for sure but maybe only one touching point that i could tell. Passenger side is fine. It looks waaaaay better than the stock set up of course. Wish the filters were black or red but I like the contrast and pop of color for now. Took it out for a quick ride and was rather surprised at how loud it was. Not a HUGE fan of the blow off valve sound but I do like the intake suction at least which is part of the reason I got an intake. I would like to recommend this intake but I would definitely forewarn of the difficulties with hose fitment and overall alignment on the driver side BUT it does work with our cars.

See the attached pics! I need to take one more of the hoses actually attached up close but this does the job for now.

Injen will be selling a G70 specific kit in 3-4 weeks. You can most definitely feel more power! I’ll post pictures and dyno video soon. Should be getting a discount code for the forum once available 😉

I’m curious to see what they did differently. I gave them my suggestions back when I put mine on, but that pretty much amounted to, “needs smaller filters and different PCV hoses”. Just with more detail.

Yep, smaller filters and different hoses.
