  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Installing sub into Genesis sedan

The 2015 Genesis does not have noise cancellation that pump out of the radio speakers. The radio on my 2015 5.0 Ultimate just have controls for surround sound, EQ and the audio level based on speed. I do not have any rumbling noise in my speakers with my 15in subwoofer other than bass.

It sounds like you may have some interference or additional noise from a bad connection.

No, they don't. Software updates can't add the microphones and DSPs needed for active noise cancellation. There is FM radio noise reduction, but that is not anything like active noise cancellation.

No, it is not. You are confusing the FM noise reduction with ANC (active noise reduction).

I would say that your 2015 does not. Active noise cancellation requires additional equipment to measure ambient road noise and then to create an opposing noise to cancel it out.

However, I could be wrong and the 2015 models may have the equipment already installed and just needed the proper software.

Could you post a picture of the new menu with the new noise cancelling feature added by the latest update?

I stand corrected. Thats what i get for quickly scanning thru the menus without my glasses, i read road noise instead of radio noise
