I have an 11 4.6 with about 105k, recently started to hear what sounds like a scrubbing sound coming from the rear of the drivetrain. It is intermittent sound with no rhythm, but I only seem to hear it between 35-45 mph. It is just a scrubbing sound that is not constant, but come and goes, NO vibration. I jacked up the rear of the car, pulled the wheels off, checked the brakes, bearings for movement, suspension components, couldn't find anything obvious there. I did find that the rear rubber driveshaft dampener was tearing around several of the bolt holes. Not sure if this is the cause, anyone had any experiences with this? I have an aftermarket extended warranty that covers the driveshaft's, so i will likely take it to the dealer and let them replace the driveshaft part.
