  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi I took my 2012 Genesis 3.8 sedan to dealership to look at wiper interval not performing properly. Works at fastest 3 settings (approx 2, 8, and 12 second delays) but the remaining 3 settings are completely random, anywhere from no delay to 30 seconds. The "mechanic" could not find the problem so I sat him in the passenger seat and taught him how to diagnose, then he realized I wasn't making this up. Yay me, I hear you ;)

Anyway, he ordered a new wiper stalk switch. Is it more likely the problem is in the wiper relay in the fuse panel? I don't understand how the selector could present this problem - in essentially a new car. In any case, they've never called me back to tell me the part is in, so I'm just wondering if the cheaper, easier to replace fuse is a better point of entry into the troubleshooting.
