iphone 5/bluetooth virtually unusable

I have a 2013 Genesis Prem/Tech and use an iPhone 5. When trying to have a bluetooth-linked conversation, I am consistently told that the other party can't understand me at all because of a terrible connection. This phone works fine with other bluetooth systems. Anyone else? Any thoughts? Thanks.
 
Have you tried deleting the iPhone from the Genesis BT system?
Delete the BT connection on your iPhone.. Then reboot..Then Reconnect..
If you have a power cable or other hard wired connect, check the contacts are good/clean & the cable is Ok..
Try a new cable................

Did you try connecting to any other Bluetooth phones? That will easily tell you if your Genesis is at fault.

I have an iPhone 5 and I must say that it works perfectly with my Genesis, as well as my '09 Ford Taurus.
 
the iPhone 5 works perfect in my 2013 Rspec. Works great through bluetooth but not through the cable.
 
Mine worked fine up until yesterday. It connects and plays music, but I can't forward (skip) song selections using the controls on the steering wheel anymore. Volume control works as it should but not the skip. Any ideas?

iPhone is not at good as MS8 mobile Nokia on mine. Same issue distortion, fading of the BT. Switch to handset and works great.

In traffic it is worse. I had heard that Hyundai does not have all the BT channels and get get co-channel interference from other BT devices. Less channels to choose. May be a part of it.

Does anyone know if the latest firmware update to DIS is out? Same for the rumored navigation map update?

FYI.. The same phones work perfect on Two Ford Sync vehicles, and BT headsets.
