  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hopefully someone has had this problem and has a fix.

The Bluetooth and my iphone5 have been working flawlessly for the past 9 months (Since I had the car and the phone). Over the weekend I got a call, and it didn't ring through my car, just my phone, but it showed there was a call on the display. I answered the call and everything world normally.
This week, I hope in, start the car and everything appears OK, till I make a call. I can hit the steering wheel button and say call home or who ever and it shows it dialing but now on my phone a window pops up that shows Speaker/Phone/Genesis, with a check next to the speaker, and the Bluetooth simple next to the Genesis. When I hit answer on the display, it picks up but doesn't put the sound through the speakers, it just goes to the phone and I have to click on the Speaker to actually hear the people. Everyone can hear me fine though.

This also happens when I try to dial out. The display shows it dialing, the phone shows the same Speaker/iPhone/Genesis with the same icons next to the speaker and Bluetooth, but nothing is coming out of the speaker.

I have shut the car off, restarted, re connected even restarted the phone with no dice.

Music plays perfectly through the car though, if that matters.

Any ideas?

I recommend (if possible in a Genesis) reset factory settings and then re-install your phone connections. Sounds like it just needs a reboot much like a computer. When in doubt, reboot.
