  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know of a way using the built in IPod controls to shuffle songs? I can only get the system to play songs in order.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You have to set shuffle mode on your iPod before you connect it. Then just hit the up/down arrows on the steering wheel to shuffle to the next/previous song.

I would like to see this feature added to an update on the system. Not sure how to go about recommending that since I don't have access to the Hyundai Think Tank because I live in Canada.

I have shuffle set on my Ipod, but I'm not sure what you mean about hitting the up/down arrows to use the shuffle feature through the DIS. When I hit the up/down arrows it just goes to the next song on the album I'm playing or the previous song. What am I missing?

Sorry I should have clarified (I'll edit my original post). If you press the up/down arrows on the steering wheel, it will shuffle forward or back on whatever playlist you are currently on.

I leave my ipod on "Songs" and just shuffle through all 800+ songs on my ipod.

I try again, I have a 60G Ipod and for some reason it does not want to shuffle when connected to the system

Ya maybe its the iPod you because my 8Gig Nano works fine.

Re: IPod Problem

Hello
I just rec'd my cord to use my Nano Ipod. I have discovered that when I play the Ipod the right speakers do not have sound. I tested the Ipod and with head phones directly from ipod it plays in stereo but not when hooked up to the car.
Controls seem to work and can skip songs etc I have tried changing settings but to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong or do I have to live with it????

Assuming that your other sources play on all speakers, it is probably the cord, or cord is not attached properly at both ends, or connectors are broken (on the cord or where the cord plugs in). Take it back to the dealer and have them try a new cord.

Hmmm tried second cord and same results. Only lift speakers have sound. I am using NANO ...could it be a setting on Ipod that is messed up?????

Went to dealer for first oil change ....they checked Ipod and found that the that the unit in center council was bad. New ordered should get new one in 2-3 days . Will let you know how it turns out

Re: IPod Problem

Dealer replaced the Ipod unit in the center console. The cord/ipod now works perfectly.
NO CHARGE. They also upgraded airbags...what that entailed I don't know but that too was free and it only took 15-20 minutes total.
