  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is this a good deal for a new 2014 Genesis?

This is my first post on the forum. I'm looking at a new 2014 Genesis, base model with no options. The car is new (not a demo or service loaner). MSRP is $36,150, dealer is offering it at $26,709 (this includes the $3,500 rebate).

I have long been an admirer of this car and hope to be able to get one of the remaining '14s. Thanks for any help or guidance!

Thats around 30% off MSRP, thats what I got my 2014 RSPEC (30% off MSRP) for, I consider that a great deal! :welcome:

Tell him to make that an OTD price and you will sign!

Thanks for the feedback. I figure that if I do this on Saturday there will be a bit more negotiating room (last day of the month). I will update if I end up with the car.

That's a little better than what I was quoted today on a similar car, and before any haggling. I'm just not sure I'd be happy in the long run without a few options like NAV, rear camera, and the Lexicon stereo.

Thanks for the comment. I really don't see the need for nav (google maps on my android phone works fine). The back up camera and upgraded stereo would be nice. I have a friend at Hyundai corporate that may be able to help me out on the stereo if I but the car.

Just picked up me Genesis. It took some hard negotiating, but we were able to come to terms. I will post a picture of two when I get a chance. Gray/black interior. Drive is smooth and quiet.

Good deal. In the fall I paid $24,500 for a brand new 2013 base model.

6 months later and I'm still very happy with the car.

The base model is amazing for this price. Semi loaded 2015 Camry, or this? No comparison. Seems like happy results for those who added the Uninav replacement DIS head end. That makes up for most of the perceived differences in features. Your color is very classy. The 17" tires will be affordable when replacement time comes. Congrats.
