It was delivered to the dealer this afternoon!!!

I have bought a number of new cars over the years, but don't remember being this physiced since waiting 4 months for the '67 Vette!!! Will pick it up on Friday.

I had asked the dealer to call me when the transport showed up so I could get a picture of it on the transport. He did but, unfortunately, my car was the first one off.

That's the first time I've seen an R Spec in red. Beautiful. If they had them on the lots a year ago, it would've been a really tough choice for me! Red is my favorite color.

I got the manuals from it while I was there. Lots to read. One thing of note is that the oil requirements are pretty loose. Even an oil that meets the old MS rating is good enough.

I assume you mean API SM. For a GDI engine, I would highly recommend a synthetic oil.

Synthetic oil. Its an expensive purchase, spend a little extra on the oil, it won't hurt. Congrats. Beautiful car in that color.

I agree with others here; I've never seen a Genesis, let a lone an R Spec, in that color (well in person anyway; the Genesis in Inception doesn't count).

I'm looking forward to seeing it cleaned, waxed, and polished!

I assume you mean API SM. For a GDI engine, I would highly recommend a synthetic oil.

I've used Mobil 1 in all my engines (currently 12) since the 70's. Lately, I've been trying to consolidate on Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel 5w-40 oil with it's higher zinc content (some of my engines are old). It is also rated API SM. However, I will probably use Mobil 1 5w-30 in the Genesis.

Just a protective cover from being shipped over by boat from Korea.

Nice looking color. I've been watching them as they come off the boat hear. All I've seen si black, silver and gray. The only R Spec's I've seen were Gray.

If they were to make an R Spec in the dark blue of the '09/'10 model year, I might be inclined to trade mine in.

I've seen only a few Gens in that color around town -and it's a very sharp color on the car in any light. Congratulations! PLease post a pic of it without the wheel covers. I wanna see R-Spec wheels with that color
Now I have to admit -the lazy H on the rear deck looks out of place to me since seeing mine with the wing all the time. Personally, I really love the Hyundai brand, but to me the emblem is probably the most unattractive in the US market. (sorry, don't mean to highjack the thread).
