  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've got solid info on the next R Spec sedan

Take all that and add another 100hp and every bell and whistle available and you have yourself a Rspec.

The V6 is great until somebody in a Hemi 300C puts a whippin on you at traffic light. How does your girl feel then?

Just sayin.........

Anybody up for a big ol steak?

How does the Rspec do against that car in a stoplight battle? Just curious. It does mid-4's 0-60.

Mr. Zielritter. I really can't comment on the comparative numbers, however there is a black Hemi 300C in Ft. Lauderdale that can recite my plate number from memory 'cause he sees the back of my Rspec regularly.

Not that I condone that kind of behavior in the city. Hee-Hee. Fear no RT.

SRT is another story. I'll need some help from the aftermarket before I enter that territory.

Kinda like the difference between a 9mm Glock and an Ed Brown 1911 in 45!
:D

Why .45 ACP? Cause shooting twice is just plain silly. (Off topic attempt at humor. Arr-Arr. Robin Williams R.I.P.)

It's not contant, and not always.

If Hyundai chose to offer the V8 without the firmer suspension of the R-Spec in the 2013/4 model years, it would have been on my list.

Due to back issues and family comfort, the R-Spec was a non-starter. Unfortunately, that's the only way to get a V8 in a Genesis of those years.

I do get (and I'm pretty sure a lot of V6ers get) that a V8 is smoother/seamless/etc. But the incremental smoothness/seamlessness you get isn't worth it (to some) for the penalty in gas mileage/increased purchase price compared to the already buttery smooth 3.8.

That said, I am happy with the 3.8.

I would have rather not had a stiffer riding R-Spec if I could have gotten a V8 in those days. Not displeased with my choice. Traded a V6 in for the V8 R-Spec and never looked back. Plus Im a V8 kinda guy anyway. Like the power when I need it.

I got V8 without crappy suspension!

Just having a look at these photos. It appears there is an R-Spec prototype (Full camouflage Genesis) to the left of the next-generation Genesis Coupe prototype:
