Kind of a 'Blackvue-ish' style but with lots of venting to (hopefully) avoid the overheating issues that have plagued the Blackvue design.
GPS optional, which you don't need anyway. Some of the video on Youtube looks as good if not better than the Itronics. Must be the Sony CMOS sensor.

that's what I have coming. I'd get the 3300 if you want rear also.
it's lower resolution but tbh if I'd thought it out more I would probably have bought the 3300.
I don't think 720p vs. 1080p is going to make a whole lot of difference with these products (just like tvs).
however, that seller appears to be one of the best to buy from.
I'll try to update as I install the thing.

The problem with the 3300 is that it records at a low frame rate: 20fps front, 10fps rear and the rear camera is low res (640x480)
I'd be happy with 720p @30fps at both ends
I may wait for the market to mature a bit more. Wifi enabled cameras are already in the first generation and who knows what's around the corner this year.
Reviewing footage on your phone while inside the car or up to 100' feet away sounds cool combined with parking mode.

maybe short answer though for the time being at least is IROAD IONE 3800FU NOT RECOMMENDED.
focus is out, video is 1080 avi but there's artifacts so I wouldn't be surprised if it's post processed up to 1080. I've tried media player & vlc - no improvement.
I haven't got the cam mounted so there's an outside chance that the bottom 30% being the bonnet (hood) & close focused is throwing the rest out.
however, that's a lot of improvement it needs to make up. (I think) it's fixed lens so depth of field is fixed and focus being out is a manufacturing error.
GPS shows map in UI but doesn't correct time stamp on video. wtf?
To configure you use the PC based UI/viewer, the cam reads the settings when the microsd is inserted or powered up. So you have to juggle the time to be correct for when you fire up the cam next... I'm running off the lighter socket currently but have the add a fuse and some fancy voltage regulator you can buy with the cam that I could wire in using an 'add a fuse' connection. I'm not sure if it prevents a flat battery too, if not... it's not really necessary.
Manuals and voice prompts in firmware are currently korean. UI is 90% english but fixed at KM/H not MPH. These things will probably be fixed with newer releases.

ohh, btw the vid on youtube in 1080 isn't a whole lot worse than the original.

Hi jpfx,

I recently purchased the same 3800FU unit.

1. Can you tell me where you can obtain the English UI? I downloaded the dedicated viewer from the company's English site but upon installation, it still appears to be Korean based.
2. Are you able to turn the front blinking LED off?
3. Can you explain to me what the MODE buttons do exactly. I assume mute, but how can you know if it's muted or not.
4. Have you successfully configured the time using the microSD card?

english pdf manual has been released.
personal opinion for iroad ione 3800FU is still 'not recommended', not because it's 'bad' but because in operation it does not live up to its specifications.
