  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2019 G80 3.3t and am considering the JB4 (fuel wires, etc incl). My question is, when I take the car to the dealer for warrantable service (routine maint for 3yrs, unrelated issues with the tranny, etc), I have to imagine they're going to say warranty is voided, right? How do you guys avoid/handle this? Just don't take it dealer anymore? Lots to spend ($600) to void warranty inadvertently... Any advice is appreciated

Simple - remove it before the trip to dealer. It takes less than 5 minutes.

Thanks, any additional mods you'd recommend beyond the JB4? Obviously, the list could be endless, but from what I've read, some of the maps respond based on other modifications already made (intake, etc).

I had my JB4 on for over a year now, nothing else, no other mods. Running map 2 on 93 octane and/or map 3/5 on ~96 octane is more than enough for me and this car.

Just curious, for us novices what kind of HP does “Map 2” produce.

My dyno sheet says 382whp/462tq...considering ~15% of powertrain loss, you'll be at ~422HP

Why can't I get those numbers to calculate out? 422 x .85 = 359 or 382 x 1/.85 = 449

Neither come up with 382 or 422.

Not doubting you, just curious.

And your 455/529 numbers.... is that your map 3/5 96 octane ~output?

I think I used ~10% instead of 15% so.... let's do that again;

This is how the tuner told me to calculate HP .... 382 x .15 (~15%) = 57 + 382 = 439HP

Again...I used 10% hence came up with those numbers.

Now, let's use 15%....

414 x .15 = 62 + 414 = 476HP

Map 5 ~97 octane E85+93 mixture. I think my car runs better on it than when using boostane + 93 = 99 octane.

I hope it'll make sense, lol

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, or if it's been thoroughly answered previously...but are spark plugs required if doing a "stage 1" 93 octane tune, with everything else being stock(airboxes etc)? And what might the gains be, performance #'s wise?

Ideally, I'd like to have a little more power(safely), with just a plug and play type of setup, and everything I've heard about the JB4 seems positive.

Out of curiosity, I have a 2023 Genesis 3.3t rwd and I'm considering on getting the jb4 by Burger Tuner. But are they easy to remove before dealership maintenance or are they a pain to remove? I have seen a few install videos and they seem to tie into quite a few different components.

100% you need colder plugs.

Yes, they are easy provided when you order the JB4, you order the fuel line adapters vs tapping your factory fuel wires.

I just had my 40k service done today and I could not be bothered to remove any of my JB4 pieces. I went into the JB4 app, set it to map 0 (JB4 disabled) and unplugged the JB4 from the cars OBDii port.

They completed the service and did not mention anything to me about warranty issues (I have an extended warranty).

I'm currently running a tank of 105 octane race fuel running map 4, so I really wasn't sure what to expect...and I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous...I was.
