Test drove two new Genesis G80s last week. Don't remember the packages, but they probably had AWD. Loved the cars, except for the ride. Both had a jittery, unsettled ride, even on freshly paved roads. The first one also had out-of-balance tires (I think), which makes me think they weren't properly prepared. This was a bit disappointing in a $54,000 car. Any thoughts, experiences, or suggestions would be great, because this was the quietest car I've ever driven!

OEM tires are not always the best, but both my Genesis were very smooth but the '15 had tire vibration at 75. Not sure what you were feeling, especially in two different cars.
 
Check the PSI of the tires. They are shipped from Korea with pressures above 40 PSI, and are supposed to be lowered during dealer prep, but sometimes that is missed. The recommended tire pressure is on sticker in the driver door jamb.

If that does not fix it, mention it to the dealer.

They usually don't balance tires during dealer prep, and sometimes rust can form on the brake rotors if the car has been sitting for too long (especially at a port of entry), and can cause an unbalanced wheel.

I would also check to see if the cars had the lane correction feature turned on. I was thinking that my car had some steering issue due to the wheel pulling to the left and right until I noticed that the automatic lane correction feature was on that was trying to correct my driving path by tugging on the steering wheel.

I just set the system to just warn me about lane borders instead of adjusting my steering wheel and the ride has smoothed out to perfect.

I had to admit that I was little worried that bought a lemon with a bad steering rack for minute until i noticed the wheel only moved when the lane warning was highlighted.
 
As Mark said; check the PSI! it should be around 35/38 rear
I remember test driving '15 5.0 and later G80 Sport, both brand new cars and both had their tires inflated to 48 PSI! I had to get back and let them know about it, once they set it at correct PSI, the ride was totally different.

48 psi inch would do it. I guess I'll have to take an air pressure gauge with me on test drives :) Plus, I had a 19 year old sales guy who didn't know how the shifter worked. I want so much to like this car.

I can't use the shifter either. I need a fully manual car to drive. This thing feels artificial and weird.

The better dealers have sales people trained to know and properly sell the Genesis. There is nothing complex about the shifter.

You must have been driving a 2018 Ultimate with "shift by wire" it takes a bit of getting used to, once you get used to it, it is very easy to use. I am assuming you are talking about the main transmission shifter, not paddle shifting.

I tried both. And neither gives me the feeling of a manual drive. You are right. It's a matter of getting used to a clutch less shifter. But since I didn't feel like I was changing the gears, I just switched back to automatic transmission.
