I have been hard at work trying to organize the first ever Genesis Coupe Corral for the Rolex 24. For the some of you who do not know want a Corral is. A Corral exclusive reserved parking for owners of particular sponsor's/manufacture brand of automobile, for example Corvettes, Porsches and now Genesis Coupes is a great opportunity to meet/hang out with fellow GC owners and be a spectator at one of the most exciting endurance races in the world. (Yes, the Sedans are also)

I was able to secure (2) packages that will offer a diverse activities that can be done prior, during and after the race. They offer a little for all car enthusiast and race fans at a great price.

Jay @ SFR has been scheduled for the GC Corral at the Rolex 24, as long as we have minimum number (10 for tune). We will have both Canned and Custom reflash/tunes. The reflash/tunes will be exclusive to the GC Corral attendees. As for the cost of the SFR tunes the best thing will be to contact Jay directly. I have asked Jay to request your confirmation to the GC Corral prior to accepting your deposit

Dyno info for custom reflash/tunes

I contacted 8 dyno shops in the vicinity of Daytona International Speedway (DIS). They are two dyno shops meet Jay @ SFR requirements and are willing to hoist us for the Reflash/Tune.

Shop 1)
a) Dyno Type: Land and Sea chassis dyno with WB 02. This dyno is very similar to Dynojet, both dynos are within 5 hp /tq valves. (Chassis Dynamometer Systems )
b) Cost : $650 for 9 hour rental and if needed extra $100.00 per hour. 50% refundable deposit (if canceled two weeks prior) to hold the slot open. Deposit must be in by Friday Dec. 21st.
The total rental will be divided equally between all the custom tune recipients.
c) Shop is 10 minutes from DIS.

Shop 2
a) Dyno Type: Dynojet (Dynojet Research Inc. - Automobile Dynamometers )
b) Cost: Flat fee of $75 per car with a 5 car minimum. $20 per car deposit refundable deposit (if canceled two weeks prior) to hold the slot open. Deposit must be in by Friday Dec. 21st.
c) Shop is +/- 30 minutes from DIS.

You guys let me know which one you prefer. Deposits will be sent to me with your confirmation from DIS to the GC corral.

update

1) Jay has dropped the minimum requirements from 10 to 7 or 8 people for him to make the trip down to provide both custom and canned tunes.

2) I don’t like to rush anyone, but we need to get the ball rolling for the Dyno Shop. We need to some deposits in not to lose the date for the people who are looking for a custom tune. The dead line for the deposit for the dyno shop is Dec 21. The deposit is small only $20per car (5 minimum) refundable deposit (if canceled two weeks prior for not having enough people for the tune.

3) The corral is a GO, even if we don’t get the 25 car…. DIS is expecting the each car will at least have 1 guest so that will make up the different.

Since I want this WHOLE event to be success. I am send $80 of my money along w/ UK’s (the only one that has provided $$$ so far ) $20 as a deposit to hold the date for the dyno shop. With this I have extend the cut-off date to January 11, 2013

I the other hand Jay has asked me to add names to the SFR list if you are interested in the tunes. Instead of waiting until the SFR deposit is made to add the name to the list. So please let me know if you are interested and I’ll add you the SFR List.

As for the deposit for the Dyno…. Everyone on the SFR list who has place the deposit for the custom tune was eager make the deposit for the Dyno. I’m holding off on taking the dyno deposits for now. I want to make sure that the “tune” is 100% go (we have 7 minimum placed SFR deposit) before taking anymore dyno deposits. It will make my life easier if the “tune” part of the event was canceled due to not reaching the minimum. I wouldn't have to spend time returning the dyno deposit.

The SFR tune looks like it will be a go. Mbracemusic only waiting for his new paypal account to clear and he will be #7. Mbracemusic has spoken to Jay about his paypal situation and Jay is willing to wait a day or so…

These are the basic time slot for each of the tunes. Please try to be at the dyno shop 30 minutes prior to your time slot.

7:45am shop open/setup time.
8:00am erikd 2.0T
9:30am mbracemusic 2.0T
11:00am USFskimmer 3.8
12:30pm My3.8Track 3.8
2:00pm Nonna B. 3.8
3:30pm fmlledo {canned} … Dyno run before and after
4:00pm UK and Technochild {canned}

For the $75 flats fee, the dyno shop has allotted 90 min (1hr 30min) per car as an average. If any individual tune runs longer the allotted time of the 90 minutes, the dyno shop could impose extra fees for that car. So please keep this in mind.
