I had some buyers remorse...Until I got into the car when it was delivered to my house and I realized the value in this thing is insane! Also, you seem to have gotten a good deal considering invoice on the signature is at about $39,200 I believe. Enjoy your new toy and don't worry about the price you paid!

I can understand that kind of remorse.

Before I bought my genny, we had to attend a wedding on the east coast. I decided to rent a car for the trip. They "upgraded" me to a KIA Sportage because they didn't have the full size car I requested. The Sportage seemed really nice ... except for the seats. I didn't notice it until we were 150 miles into the trip, but the seat had a portion the cut into my sciatic nerve in my lower leg. It was a 1000 mile trip one way!

I had a '77 200SX that was great until you hit the 300 mile mark. Then the seat was misery. On the opposite end, the seat in our 2013 Focus is great. On one trip I had to drive 700 miles in one day to beat bad weather and the seat was great.

For me the seats on the Signature Genesis are good. I would like the upgraded seat, but it is not to the level of remorse.

Well why did you buy the Sig? For me it was about the fact that I don't drive for a living so I didn't need lane assist or the smart cruise. I would have loved the HUD or DIS but I didnt need the nanny features. The fact that the car came with so many bells and whistles in the base was a reason why I didn't go BMW or MB. The 7k to get only a fraction of features I wanted wasn't worth it to me. What is worth it to you?

I was on the fence about the extras for the reasons you mentioned but I'm a gadget person so I was back and forth. In the end, I chose signature but had a change of heart after a few weeks.

You don't have to wait until the end of your lease to get a new car. You can trade in your leased vehicle at any time during your lease.

sorry, but there is no reason to believe that the upgraded tech systems are going to fail any sooner or more frequently than the base systems. We're not talking added mechanical complexity in the vast majority of these upgrades here - for example, why would the 9.2" nav system fail more than the 8" system? Why would the top end 900 watt lexicon stereo fail more than the base stereo? Not to mention the aesthetic/comfort upgrades you get with the higher trim packages: Why would the ultra premium leather seats fail more than the base seats? What's going to fail on the real wood and aluminum interior trim! ...and, if you plan to keep the car long term, you can get a 10 year extended warranty for about $1,500 bucks - cheap insurance if you are really concerned!

Again, buy what is the best price/value for your particular situation, but don't try to diminish the real world value and enjoyment derived from the available upgrades - they're quite real!

You pay more, you usually get more "stuff" but it costs ya. You got a GREAT sub-$40k car. You'll worry yourself to death if you keep thinking about it.

Agree, you can't start thinking about the deal everyone else got on their car. I have done that in the past and it drove me mad. You do not know the circumstances behind the price another paid; did they have a trade in, did the dealer need to move the car, or maybe the buyer was just a good negotiator.. among other reasons.

I the end, if you purchase a car, and in the end you feel comfortable with the price you paid and is what you were looking for, you should not sweat it. Someone is always going to get a better deal, and many others will have paid more... such is life.

I suggest you get in your car, turn on that wonderful Lexicon audio system with your music of choice and go for a nice cruise!!!

I also bought a signature package and the only thing I wish it had was front and rear parking sensors. My wife complins every times she drives it because her truck has them and makes parking for her easier. I personally dont need them. Other than that, no regrets.

If you plan to keep the car for many miles/years the sig pkg is the way to go because all those extra options will eventually break and will be pricy to repair.
