The oil/filter change is a hassle on the 5.0 - dealers have been known to screw it up pretty bad.
There are two large panels below the engine - the front panel covers the filter and has to be removed. The rear panel (hard to get to) covers the pan plug.
I use a Mity-Vac to suction out the oil thru the
dipstick tube - greatly simplifies that aspect of an oil/filter change. That's the Mercedes way.
The coolant level is checked by the wackiest little plastic
dipstick I've ever seen. It has an index notch & should be replaced carefully.
The front & rear tires are differently sized and take different pressures (33 front, 35 rear).
Lastly, in the 16 months I've had mine, I have not had a single prob. except when it got wacked by a hailstorm.
