  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just Bought Genesis 4.6, Pick up Wednesday, Last Minute Advice?

Thanks for the suggestions and help.

I picked the car up last night, and everything went smooth. I paid an extra $1300 to extend bumper-to-bumper coverage (including all tech features) to 10 years. Maybe I was a sucker, but all the computers and equipment in that car will get expensive.

Followup Question:

How do I import my phone's contacts? I tried to download phonebook but it would not locate it. If I connect my phone via USB will this allow it to import contacts?

Make sure your phone is paired via blue tooth and then push the phone info button on the DIS, it alternates between car setting and phone. Then in the phone menu choose phone book or maybe its contacts and then then there is a download option.

Best tip I can give you now is to read and study all the manuals carefully. So many on this forum have had problems and get frustraited and the reason is that they never read and studied the mauals for the car. Its vey important to study the Nav. manual if you want to use voice coammands. BTW voice commands work great for my wife and I, we love the navigation using voice commands.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The download option did not work, but the phone and the car are paired properly. I have an HTC Hero running Android.

I am going to try importing the contacts with a USB cable. Has anyone done this?

Also, regarding the commands: is there a way to customize this? For example, instead of saying "Phone Commands" I would prefer to say phone.
