  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Today I joined the Forum and bought a Genesis 3.8 with Premium and Tech. I traded in my year old Sonata Limited Turbo and so far this is the right decision.

The Genesis is my 52nd car, with several BMW, Porsche's Infinity and Lexus. I am on my 3rd Hyundai [2 Sonata's both 2011] and still impressed, my son has a R Spec Genesis, he came from a 2 year old C-63 AMG and loves his Genesis. Now we both have a Lexus SUV's for our wives, Mini's for fun car and the Genesis for trips.

Welcome aboard. :welcome: Nice to see more high end car users trading in/switching from the so called cream de la cream for a Genny. Gotta love it. :D

52 cars? You will certainly bring an interesting perspective to the discussion! :welcome:

I think I've had 6 of my own, maybe 10 counting my wife.

Congrats! Looking forward to your reviews when you get some serious "seat time".

:)

I assume you bought a new 2012 model? Must have pics!

I hope this works so I can post some shots of the new car. So far so good, I like the car. I had a 08 Infinity M-35 that cost almost $10,000 more than the Genesis. The Genesis tracks better, more room and quieter by far. Darn looks like they think the files are to big

I also have joined the G crowd. I picked up a 2010 with 5K miles, and it is a really sweet ride. Drives great, quiet and have already taken a trip with it. I am a little dissapointed with the mileage. I traded in a Impala which averaged 25.5, and still own a 2001 LeSabre which averaged 26.5. The best I got with the 3.8 was 26.4, which was strictly interstate. But, it cranks out 90 more HP, so I guess you have to feed them, someway. Great car, though.

Welcome. I'm fairly new to the Genesis club myself (about 30 days now). Really enjoying the car and my family is getting tired of me telling how cool this car is.

I had a Clear Bra put on today, now I feel better, dam TX trucks toss up too much small rock chippers. Not many miles so far, but like it more each time I drive it. I am showing 27 mpg on the dash, but will check it at fill ups since Hyundai seems to show +2 mpg on the dash. I am just shocked at how this car tracks at all speeds, I bought lots of BMW's for the steering, this track and takes a set as well.
