Good Afternoon Guys,
I just signed the papers on a 2010 Genesis 3.8 Sedan. She is a clean one owner, one carfax car with 160,000 miles. I gave $7000 for her ($7838 OTD). I drive ALOT and to say I am happy about getting into a car that is comfortable again (current ride is a Kia Soul which while fine car is not a highway car) is huge understatement. I took her on a very long test drive and was amazed that there was not one squeak, rattle, or thunk. Just smooth as glass from start to stop.. Very cool.
So I have a few questions I hope y'all can help me with.
1) Power window on pass rear is Inop, how hard is it to do this job (assuming its the motor)? any good write ups you can recommend on a how to?
2) The power door lock on the pass door does not seem to work, guessing bad actuator how hard is that to replace?
3) I don't have full service records (just what was on the carfax), assuming the transmission fluid has not been changed (which it may have) would you do it at 160,000?? It still shifts smooth as silk, so part of me wants to leave it be. The other part of me cringes at that thought. WHY, O WHY no dip stick !!
4) Also I noticed I can not stream VIA Bluetooth, and apparently this car was never able to (but my 2011 Kia soul can, figure that one out). Has anyone figured out a good way around this that does not take up the Aux jack?
Anything else I should know about these cars as I start my new ownership experience??
Thanks guys, I look forward to learning from you !
