Just received my Genesis license plate frame from Hyundai!

What a nice surprise! I just received a very high quality license plate frame from Hyundai! Chrome-plated zinc alloy, with black indented lettering: "GENESIS" at the top, and "2009 North American Car of the Year" at the bottom, complete with chrome covers for the fixing screws (front and rear supplied).

The accompanying letter, from Joel Ewanick, VP Marketing Hyundai NA, states, "Think of it as an elegant way to send a knowing wink to the BMW driver behind you." Funny...

No request - it just arrived out of the blue in a white padded envelope. I'm going to fit it on Saturday - I'll upload a picture then.

No complaints to Hyundai, but I did do an initial quality survey - can't remember who was running that. And yes, the letter was personalized - well, "mail-merged" at least.

I got a J.D. Power initial quality survey and one from Hyundai about the dealership/buying experience. Hopefully I'll get a frame too. Already have a frame for the back, but need one for the front plate. The Genesis wing plate bolts are lonely up there...

wow that was real nice of them to send you that plate cover but honestly speaking if i was to get one i wouldnt put it on anyway first of all im paying for this car they didnt give it to me for FREE so im not trying to promote their product for them for free & i like that no one knows what im driving, i never believed in promoting products for anyone & i dont get a cut

I read this post this AM and this afternoon I got my license plate cover. I did not request it. I have participated in several polls. It looks very nice and will go on the back tomorrow. I hope all Genesis owners get one.

Also recvd my Genesis today, was very nice surprise. I live in fairly small city in Central CA. Wanted to say thanks to Hyundai-I appreciate the gift, very Nice Surprise! Also in the letter it reads "Think of it as an ELEGANT WAY TO SEND A KNOWING WINK to the BMW driver BEHIND you". After nearly one year I love my car as the first day I bought it, and still people stare at it or ask me about it. It is a FUN car to drive! Thanks again Hyundai for the gift!!
