Seriously? As in your millennial style of "I'M RIGHT! YOU'RE WRONG!!" mentality.
Do several tests of stock vs. K&N using the equipment others have noted need to be used then maybe we can all talk.![]()
I am stilling waiting on proof that my observations is incorrect.![]()
You did not post any acceleration number for the 5.0 engine. You are only speculating on what the 5.0 engine can do based on what you have done to your 3.3T engine.I posted proof. You can't make the horsepower needed for 4.7.
Where is the proof? Any log? How did you measure the 5.1 seconds? Was the engine using performance air filters? You are only posting a picture of your engine bay. Do you have any material that states the 0-60 time for it?
Seriously?
Autoblog has it at an optimistic 5.3 seconds.
I actually used an app called Torque Pro that uses the phone/tablet GPS signal to measure 0-60 times which is not as accurate as the Dragy measuring device supposedly. However, no one ever compared the two GPS measuring devices back to back from what I researched so they may be similar in accuracy. From the tests I've seen, the Draggy is accurate within a few 100ths of a second. So, at the Carguy legit ran a 4.7 sec 0-60 mph. Impressive! And, If his SIG is accurate, he only has k&n filters and a sprint booster. Doubly impressive!
Everyone is getting WAY too hung up published numbers. Acceleration is a very situational thing. It's fair to say that the Genesis runs 0-60 in about 5 seconds. 3 10ths of a second in either direction is not unheard of given environmental factors.
It may not matter to you, but it does matter to other owners.Whether my 5.0 'near-luxury' sedan makes it to 60 in 4.7 or 5.0 seconds (or 5.0+) really doesn't matter regarding my driving enjoyment of the vehicle.
Oh, I understand that it matters to others—this is obvious as I see so much effort put forth by many to simply squeeze off tenth of seconds from 0-60 times. I'd expect that in mustang/camaro forums, where the allure of those vehicles is in the speed/handling over comfort/luxury/etc.It may not matter to you, but it does matter to other owners.![]()
Are you God or something? I ask this because you are making statements as if you know what everyone else can notice or not. I believe that you should make your statement more opinions than fact.Funny thing is that no human being would ever be able to feel the difference..
The Genesis 5.0 handles just as good as many of the Mustangs and Camaros, so why a person can not have both luxury and performance if the car is able to provide both? I like a car that can provide both hence why I own my Genesis 5.0.Oh, I understand that it matters to others—this is obvious as I see so much effort put forth by many to simply squeeze off tenth of seconds from 0-60 times. Your statement should be something more like" I believe that it would be hard for an human being to notice such small changes in acceleration", not form a definitive statement like you posted.
Unless, you know for a fact that a person cannot perceive small changes in acceleration. If so prove it.![]()
