  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Had a chance to get this baby installed onto my 2015 Genesis..
Had to do some soldering but worth the effort.

Part no.:
92810B1000SG2

I had a chance to fly over to KR and asked around to get this in my hands.
Cost about 130,000 Won or $155 CAD.

The unit itself is basically plug-and-play but mood light doesn't work since it involves BCM (Body Control Module) - basically there is a menu option on KDM models to turn it on or off.

I had to run wires to ILL (+ and -) to have it turned on when headlights are on.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
couldn't you just tap the power source for the LED light that shines down? that's only on with the headlights too.

That's what I did, running wires to ILL + / - located at the jack - I bypassed the Mood+/- jacks which require BCM comm. and soldered them to acc. power source.
Just different wording. No wire modifications are hanging out of the overhead console unit.

And no, you can't just wire them to led behind the sunroof switch as these mood light wires are a set of two wires. I couldn't find feasible wires that run to the led light you are referencing to.

I wonder if the mood light could be turned on under the engineering mode? I noticed some things under the menus like the rear video players that we don't have here in the USA. I'll check in the next week.

Negative, already looked there.
Soldering was my last option on the list.

Below is the overhead console jack diagram I referred to.

so you jumpered pin 4 to pin 2? or pin 3?

also, does anyone know how can we get our hands on this part number in the states? google search only turned up a few russian sites.

I found wires from mood light LEDs and soldered them to 2 and 8. (ILL + and ILL -, these are powered only with acc. mode or engine on mode )

It might be a good start to look for those Ebay sellers who stock KDM parts and throw a directly inquiry to them.

How is the light now that you've had it for awhile? Is it intrusive being too bright?

Actually not at all.
Navigation screen is way more intrusive than this is. Liking it so far!
