  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hmmmm...

Highest paid in South Korea. 50 hours per week is not that bad. My son is in management with his company and works 50 to 60 hours a week.

Sounds like the guy who tourched himself was not just complaining about number of hours worked:

"A week ago, Shin emailed his last request to a supervisor, raising concerns about high defect rates caused by high-speed production. He also pointed to the fact that the plant shipped out defective engines. Hyundai responded by more rigidly enforcing its time-control rules."

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Of course there had to be at least one idiotic response...
"Maybe Toyota should take over these factories and show Hyundai and Kia how to do it properly!!! This is disgusting"
No Thanks there Toyota lover, I like my gas pedals to let off when I ease up on them.
You can keep your Made for Japan car, I'll stick with my car made by a Country that was on the same side as US in a war.

NICE!

Not to mention they're about as attractive as a bowl of porridge these days (save perhaps the FT-86, though I haven't seen it in person - NY Auto show!)

One fails to realize that, despite the OBVIOUS cultural differences, mental illness is indiscriminate.

Very sad.

The strange thing about that is that Hyundai's factories in Korea are less efficient/productive than the ones overseas, including in the US.

Well if that is true, and I hope it is, we better start shouting it from the rooftops and return some of those jobs back to the USA!

^ Well, Hyundai has maxed out its capacity at its 'Bama plant (it's actually at around 115% capacity) and soon Kia's GA plant will have similar capacity issues as Optima sales ramp up and the new Santa Fe seems prone for a bump in sales.

While Hyundai has been denying it, I wouldn't at all be surprised if Hyundai eventually builds a 2nd plant (maybe a joint project w/ Kia to build the SF and Sorento) since Kia will probably want to build the new Forte/Koup at its GA plant and there isn't any room presently since Kia is building the SF for Hyundai.

A company definitely on the move.
