Been here awhile...
The answer to the activation of the DRL's can't be as simple as a 15A fuse installation, can it? That would be absolutely incredible if it were.

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no daytime running lights, right? If I like to drive with my headlights on, I have to do it myself.
But there is an "automatic" light feature, which apparently turns the lights on automatically when the car senses low light levels, such as approaching sunset.
But this automatic feature doesn't come on when it starts raining, which, in Florida makes it mandatory to have headlights on.
I miss the DRL from my other vehicle...as I always had lights on that way, even in a quick and brief Florida downpour.
So, again....there are no daytime running lights, or a way to select that feature?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but what is the benefit to DRL? Is it for you or the other drivers who see you? Personally I think it's a waste of energy on the battery. I've seen hundreds of cars with it and I'm curious as to why this is considered a safety feature?

A few years ago, I owned a Sebring Convertable. Decided I wanted to add DRL. I found that the Canadian models have a plug in module, so I looked up and ordered the module, then plugged it into the space designed for it in the fusebox.
Easy as pie, and worked great. Simple plug-in. Perhaps someone can check with your Hyundai Parts Department to see if there is any such thing avaliable for out Genesis'. Next time I visit my dealer, I will also check.
Should have asked in my last post.
How about one of you Canadian owners checking with your parts department to see if your Canadian spec Genesis uses a plug in module, or if it operates some other way.
Thanks in advance.
