Hello folks. I have a 2016 3.8, and I usually set the LKAS to pre-departure mode.
When the road is relatively, but not totally straight, the LKAS would not work and the car may go out of the lane. Then the steering wheel would vibrate, but won't steer me back to the lane. Does this seem normal to you guys?
Recently I rented a 2019 kia optima. Its LKAS feels way more competent. I felt that the steering wheel was always controlled and making small adjustment even when the road seems straight. Amazing how much it is improved in just a few years.
On a side note, when driving on a long straight line my car seems always go slightly to the right. It is very subtle and I don't feel it driving in the city. The alignment was off before but I got it done only 1000 miles ago. What could be the problem?
