After an unsatisfactory purchase of Auxlight LEDs from Amazon and some research, I settled on a set of Lasfit 1157 LEDs, which promise resistor-free application on MOST vehicles. I can confirm they are extremely bright and no hyperflash.

The metal heat sink will get hot and because of their length, I was concerned about the distance to the diffuser shroud. There should be plenty of space (about 1.5 inches) for heat dissipation without damaging the shroud lens especially since these are not dual function/DRL bulbs.

I'll add a video comparing the stock bulb, Auxlight (advertised 1600 lumens) and Lasfit (advertised 2600 lumens).
