  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Led drl's and fogs

Looking at the bright side, at least 99% of people with the factory HID's will never have to change the bulbs. They last forever, but most 1st owners at very least will never change the bulbs.

And those that do usually laugh at you like you're retarded when you tell them how much the equipment is to replace. I used to work in a repair shop and a lady brought in an IS300 with one dead headlight. She laughed and "called me out" for trying to scam women. I sent her off to Advance Auto to get prices on a bulb and ballasts. I would have paid to have seen her face. :p

Kits on the other hand have MUCH MUCH MUCH shorter lifespans than OE-grade equipment. People do go the kit route usually have to replace them several times during their ownership of the car.

OP, I still recommend removing those HIDs for the foglights for the reasons already explained.
