  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Left Over New 2011 Equus--cost?

according to hma service, it's got 10k miles, had the front seat cushion replaced, and a new windshield.

I'd say no more than 35...

Jas,

How do you know that?

I'm just thinking a 'new' car that has had a torn seat and a cracked windshield might not be the most well maintained car.

Doesn't work for my car. At least it doesn't show any data. hhhhmmmm

I was able to find about 20+ used 2011's between $36,800 and $40,000 and the mileage varies, but they show most having 20M to 30M. There were CarFax reports on some , and I saw numerous models in black . The site is "Carsoup.com" , which is popular here in Minnesota. Based on what you've posted , it seems like the dealer would love to move this car, if you showed them what you were able to find online, maybe they will allow you to make them and offer that they cannot refuse.

We all love to get a good deal, and with the seasons changing soon and winter coming up, they might actually decide o cut their losses and let it go for $40,000 or so, but that might be a little over optimistic.Good luck on your search and/ negotiation. Make sure and report back the final outcome, but at a minimum, I would throw out a "lowball" offer just to see what they say.

I think a good price would be in the high 30s....based on what I'm seeing for other vehicles. It's still an almost 3-year old car. Once driven off the lot, it's a USED CAR, albeit a low-miler.

I, too, am anxious to see the 2014.

I agree. Manheim Market Report shows sales of units in the mid 30's-so 37K-38K would be max. KBB trade in is at 37K with 10K miles.
