  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone driven both cars? Can I get your impressions?

I've got an IS350 now, and I'm considering the Coupe. Is the ride really harsh on the GT? Does it make a good daily driver, or is it more of a weekend sports car?

Avex... Have you driven a 3.8 for any decent amount of time ??

Dude genesis coupe is badass don't get me wrong but the IS350 is one bad car I don't know about going from the IS350 to the genesis coupe tbh

ur basically going from a $45-$50k car to a $30k car you know that right?

Here's Road and Track genesis coupe track version vs G37 -

http://www.roadandtrack.com/content...k-vs-2009-Infiniti-G37-Coupe-Journey_spec.pdf

here's road and track's IS350 data -

http://www.roadandtrack.com/content...initi-G35-Sport-vs-2007-Lexus-IS-350_data.pdf

Genesis 3.8 0 to 60 = 5.7 , quarter = 14.4
IS350 0 to 60 = 4.9, quarter = 13.5

Those buggers are fast I tell ya. IMO Genesis coupe > IS250, but you're talking IS350 I wouldn't do it man.

I mean you can if you want but why would you exactly?

I will say though that my Genesis coupe looks fly as hell love the lines on it. Also I think the Genesis Coupe handles better IMO and road and track's article agrees the Genesis Coupe gets .90gs lateral acceleration but the IS350 gets .84g's.

BUT if you're talking brute power (acceleration) and luxury then the IS350 has the edge plus you get the badge whoring (Lexus) with it which is always a plus.

.

That is what the market will bare for the Toyota/Lexus product.. not what it is literally worth in substance. The actual structural product may or may not be worth a significant difference. The acceleration difference does not justify any gigantic marginal price difference.

I see alot of talk, praise and excitement over the dynamics and build of the Genesis Coupe. Much more than anything that used to sort of be written up on the IS.
