Lightning and Genesis

I am writing to share an experience with my '09 Genesis. On my way home from work, it was raining really hard. My wipers began to work slower. I pulled over on the shoulder of the highway because I could not see. Bewildered, i'm wondering what the problem is. i tirn the car off and try to restart and all my error lights come on. Nothing works but the radio. After being tolled to the nearest dealer and waiting a week for the dealer and the Hyundai engineers to find what the problem is, they found that lightning at struck my car in the rear. my insurance company had to replace the main computer. I saw the lightning in the sky,but did not think it had anything to do with me! Wrong! However, everything is fine now. Just got a new set of Pirelli P-zero Nero!

How did they find the lightning hit your car?

I would think they would make the main computers resistant to the EMP from lightning
