Maybe I'm overlooking something very obvious, but I am stumped as to how to lock my car from the outside while the engine is running.
Is there a way to actually do that? Using the little lock button on the door (even pressing repeatedly) is creating a long beep from the car.
Using the key fob remote lock function is also producing a beep from the car.
Neither method actually locks the vehicle.
Is there a way to do that?
My use case is situations like this:

My use case is situations like this:
- 100F+ weather here in TX
- car parked in the sun in front of dry cleaners or convenience store
- errand that takes a minute or less inside the store
- turning off the car means that I need to:
- restart the seat ventilation function
- restart the auto-hold button
- restart the ECO mode selection
- restart the ACC
