  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Long term owners: How many miles, what has broken, and are you satisfied with the car's reliability?

2014 DH, 110000km, had 2 broken door handles and YIKES, elec handbrake stuck on at a cost of AU$3500 for aftermarket or AU$5500 genuine, went after market

90k miles on my 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate and only had to repair a broken taillight wiring harness and replaced an alternator.

The major repair I am performing now is due to an mistake(cracked lower timing cover) made on my part when changing an oil pressure sensor that was actually working at the time. I was trying to be proactive since the oil sensor was exposed during the alternator change. I regret that decision.:(

The car has been pretty solid so far with 90k miles.

I had the same issue with the trim around the driver's seat cracking. It was fixed 3 times under the 5 year warranty. It broke again and I devised a metal brace behind the plastic and it works beautifully. The only thing that shows are a few screws which I painted black, so they are almost invisible.

My power sear switch cover broke and it is being replaced under my extended warranty.

The rubber on my outside trunk release failed and I replaced it.

Overall, I have been happy with the reliability of my Genesis.
