What he said was they are inconsequential to him. I agree - given my driving habits, two extra gears would not make any difference to me either and certainly wouldn't be worth paying extra for.
 
I just bought a 2011 V8 today. Stickered at 44,000. Got 7,000 dealer discount, 1,500 competitive owner (20 year old Accord), 1,000 HMF finance at 0% 36 mos, and 1700 for my trade (20 year old dented, rusty Civic). The car was not a demo or loaner. I think I did reasonably well. I'd been planning on buying a turbo Sonata, but liked the seats and the quiet ride better. Don't think I did too bad.
