Hello all. New here and just poking around, asking a few questions. Y'all seem knowledgable.
Anyway, I've been looking around and saving my paychecks in order to purchase a new car, and was thinking around 30k would be nice. Something that that wasn't a monster on gas and sporty. Then I saw the Genesis coupe. Beautiful thing. Looks good, so I decided to dig around on youtube and a few other places and found pages and pages of Genesis lovers fighting aimlessly with people claiming X car was better and Hyundai was pure poop.
Based on that little armchair research, I'd hardly say I came up with little to make a real decision on.
Here's a few questions I have that maybe some of you can help me with.
Durability.
Is this thing reliable? Are the parts well made and assembled well? Are there alot of plastic parts or at the least least does it have a fair amount of metal. How's the gas mileage in actuality (says 22 street 30 highway) etc.
I want this thing to last a little while until I've settled into a career FF position to nab myself a truck. Anywhere from 6 to 10 years, with a commute of around 40 miles one way, 3 to 4 times a week.
Price.
Is this vehicle wort the 25-33k pricetag? It's certainly pretty and from what I've seen, preforms quite well. But is there a better value for the dollar? It's definitely not the most expensive car in the world, but I'm wondering if there is perhaps something better out there.
Drive
How does this thing handle? Speed, acceleration... smooth or jerky... firm or soft. (Twss).
Also wondering if it is noisy inside (and and semi unrelated, how's the stock sound system? )
Customization
As well as a decent, semi gas efficient vehicle, I really like the look of this car, especially when it's been modified.
I was wondering how easy was it to find and install custom parts, such as hoods, grills, lights, and things of that nature.
I'm planning to head on down to a dealer for a test drive, so that would eliminate some questions, but in the meantime. ..
I'm a newbie to purchasing cars for the most part, in addition to this forum. If this is in the wrong place I apologize
