Well removed OEM exhaust with a friend and we had everything bolted up in under 2 hours! Removal of the exhaust inserts was easy peasy after removing stock exhaust.. the mf 16497 comes with quad exhaust tips that would fit pre 12 models however they were a tad short but I was able to drive around for 2 days with no signs of anything melting before I got my 3.5 tips welded on. No issues to speak of. Sounds like sex. Our 8 speed transmission really helps with it not being so loud that you're gonna get pulled over for it. And drone really isnt even an issue unless you're going up hill which you can always just manually shift to a different gear to make it go away completely.. barely even noticed if you have music playing. If you turn it up you dont hear it at all.I live close to a prominent exhaust shop where people who live out of state travel to have work done on their vehicles, custom fabrication, along with installing any kit. For exhaust techs it's well known in the industry that many catback systems have their quirks and sometimes require extra time verses just a bolt on.
This was the case when MagnaFlow first introduced their catback for the 1st Gen 4.6 - the exhaust needed more clearance for installation, so an installer would usually just add a bunch of spacers in the form of large washers to solve this issue.
Now, on my Borla catback one side installed with no issues, but the other side was off and required a cut and weld for proper fitment.
