Hey guys, I currently drive a FBO/Tuned 2015 3.8 Sedan RWD (290WHP) and I'm looking to update to a 2018 3.3T Sport. I'm inquiring about AWD for my needs as I may end up just settling for a RWD.
I've been looking for the AWD Version of the car for WEEKS and haven't found a single one available within a reasonable distance (<300mi). I've even been looking through dealers like Carmax and Carvana that do deliveries.
I live in Texas so I don't need the AWD system, however I feel it would be a nice benefit for performance. I'm looking to go FBO/E85/Tune very shortly after purchasing. Looking at some internals / turbo upgrades down the line. I drive the piss out of my cars. Dragstrips, road-courses, some rolls here and there. I want to make sure that whatever transmission I go with ends up being extremely stout so I won't have to worry about the power. My end-goals are around ~620WTQ.
I've never had an AWD Vehicle before although the ones that I have been in have always felt like rockets.
I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth the hassle if I'm not going to be doing launches from a stop constantly.
I'm assuming RWD is going to be faster once you get moving since there's quite a bit less weight?
Also if any of you have a BOV setup for the G80 I've been trying to find one.
