Just got my armrest in dune. Fits like a glove. Follow the install video. It'll save you the frustration of trying to install them. Here's a picture of what it looks like. The quality is high end. Love how it feels when you rest your arm on it. Just top notch.

I just received my order from KDM warehouse for the, Luxury Quilted Design for Genesis Armrest (gv80) Installation seems pretty basic however after slipping the pad over the console lid the lid will not latch in a closed position as the elastic sock interferes with the closing mechanism. Any suggestions?

I got a set last week and aligning the hole in the stretch material with the catch tab to allow the lids to remain closed is key.

Hi Sal and forum members. Just picked up the GV80 3.5 Prestige today and installed the mono black armrest cover that Sal sent me that I purchased on his website. Very hard to line up the hole but once lined up correctly it adds a nice quality touch to the interior. A note of thanks to the forum members and Sal as I have learned a lot from you guys prior to the purchase. I have the Seville Silver with black interior.

The stitching (as well as the rest of the color on the armrest cover) is the same exact color no matter the batch. Aimban produces an armrest and doesn’t change anything about it as time goes on. Any difference in stitching color compared to the pictures on the website are due to lighting. Nothing changes from one batch to the next. And to note, when "new batches are received every week" is mentioned, it’s referring to “shipments” of the same first batch of armrests produced for Genesis vehicles made by Aimban. The several shipments received thus far are all from the same first production of Genesis armrests.

I think they are worth the money. Quality is very high end. Follow the video on how to install. It's not a big deal at all to install. Once it's on, you'll think it was a standard option w/ the car. One of my favorite add-ons from them for the GV80.

Installation video:

I'm a bit confused on the final part where the video shows folding the flap with the plastic bit underneath the leather side. Am I supposed to remove the long plastic strip? I do notice it has a bit of elastic strip underneath.

The flap runs the length of the cover towards the bottom. It literally will slide between the outside openings on either side of the armrest. That way it makes it looks like it was factory installed. The strip just secures it from the bottom side. Had my from day one and it's not moved one bit. Play around with it and you'll see how easy it is.
