  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Magnaflow Cat-back Exhaust for the R-Spec

First problem is length as they are very short and made to sit back recessed in the factory tips for 12 and up models. Second problem is the shape of the ends as they are not made to weld tips onto... Who knows though maybe it will work perfectly! Lol we will find out soon enough! :)

Stang:
Too late to cry now ... package on the way. Is the problem a length issue? Would putting in an extension after the muffler work? Guess I'll see the problem on Wed the 5th when package is supposed to arrive.
Regards

Like Stang said, the tips on 15059 are "belled" at the end and more ovular than round like a normal pipe. Worst comes to worst your shop can simply cut the mufflers off and weld in the necessary pipes and tips and then reattach to the system. Probably be an extra $100 or so I would estimate.

Old Thread brought to life! Great option for 2009 - 2011 4.6l TAU

Put this package on early summer & it was crazy easy ... direct bolt on (1 hr including a brew). I waited til I put some miles on to evaluate performance/sound before reporting back. VERY HAPPY .... NO DRONE .... quiet in normal use but definitely more agressive sound than stock. Performance ... seat dyno only says much more responsive & better high RPM because of better flow. Mileage .... you are joking, right! Absolutely worth the price if you get it at the discount & WAAAAY better than the previous version.

YES ... the tips end up being slightly short of the body panels .... does it look as good as stock ... no ... it's a trade off power / sound vs. pretty ... your call.

easy solution I found was using a hack saw .. whack off the oval tips .... bolt on extensions to clear body panels ... use whatever is available. total cost $30

Also did the 2nd cat deletes & found a little more rumble but again much more pleasant than the "Drone" jobs & they do increase flow ... if you don't like em, they're bolt on ... take em off & they were cheaper than the local shops wanted for putting in pipe replacements.

I like em ... you may disagree.

If only someone supplied tunes for these cars ......

Regards
