Mass Issue: Genesis Infotainment Driver/User Profile Settings Reset Discussion

This morning my user profile in the car was gone. Lots of people with GV70 have the same issue:

The more I experience genesis the more disappointed I am. What a pita, reset happened to me today too. Good looking cars but definitely not a luxury ownership experience.

Theory testing. Anyone NOT have this issue and also manually had updated their software/maps instead of waiting for the OTA? I’m wondering if the May 2023 OTA update is screwing with the profiles. I hope it’s not the sign of a hack.
Still I question why GMA would send out a flawed/buggy OTA update on a Friday afternoon PDT. You can’t just screw with customers and make them wait for Monday for an explanation!
I did a manual update several weeks ago. No issues until today.
 
My daughters GV80 wasn’t affected, yet. May not be relevant but it was purchased a month ago.
 
Happened to me too. Was this a hack?
 
Mine did as well. Was there a message for anyone saying "link to the account has been disabled from the phone, account will be reset to default setting"?
Same with me, very frustrating
 
Same with me, my dealor said to see if it resets itself but I'm not sure that will work, it's been all day.

This is very wide spread. First clue your driver profiles are missing. Supposedly some errant signal sent to the cars deleting the user profiles and then, subsequently, all settings associated with the profiles. Everything back to day one. I lost dozens of saved places in Navigation, it will be a huge amount of work just replacing them. :(
My system reset when I started up my truck this morning. This actually happened to me a few months ago, then a few days later it went back to my original setting. I'm hoping that happens again. This car has way too many setting to have to take the time redo them all. 🤦🏽‍♀️. So annoying!! Genesis you have to do better. These trucks cost to much to be having random issues. This is just one of many.
 
Today my wife went to use her 4 month old GV70 and found that her entire profile was missing! Everything, from log in screen to ambient lighting, all gone. However, my profile as driver #2, was still there but I lost the ambient lighting, lift gate height and a couple of other conveniences. Has anyone else had this happen?
Me too. Around 1:30pm Eastern time. Had to set up my user profile and all settings as if the car were new. I needed to restart the car twice before I could pair my iPhone. It didn't seem to affect my iOS app, but it's interesting that it wasn't just me. I hope Genesis doesn't make this a habit.
 
I haven't driven the GV80 since Friday morning.

This morning I started it, got the "Connected Services updating" message, but all settings were retained.
 
My electrified G80 also went through the same reset yesterday. Facebook is filled with others reporting the same thing.

Too bad we can’t load a full driver profile, complete with all settings, on a USB drive when something like this happens. Certainly would be easier to insert a usb drive and reload all your settings then go through a ‘day 1’ reset.

I had the same experience as (apparently) everyone. I had updated a few weeks ago with a usb. I wasn’t aware that Genesis was actually doing OTA updates. Maybe OTA choked on systems that were already updated the old-fashioned way.
 
Hello Friends. It happened to me too.
I called over the Cars Service Link. It directly calls Genesis and they answered even tough it was Sunday.
The rep send my car some patches and it fixed it.
It is a general issue and they will completely fix it tomorrow.

Do not worry. It is a easy fix.
 
Happened to me, as well. Profile gone, all settings wiped out. Had to start from scratch. WTF happened? Any word from Genesis on this one?
Apparently Santa Fe's were also affected. Probably a general BlueLink issue not limited to Genesis.
