Mass Issue: Genesis Infotainment Driver/User Profile Settings Reset Discussion

So I am one who has had this issue from the beginning with the locked profile. My car finally went in for service today and they were able to delete the profile. So now I will set up my profile again without using a fingerprint. I must say I loved my experience with the dealership at Cardinaleway in Corona CA. I received a loaner while my car was in service. They offered to pick my car up at my house, and return it to me and give me a loaner while it was at the dealership. Just like they promised when we bought the car. Quick, courteous and good service, helped relieve all this frustration I had with this whole issue.
 
I just did the update using the USB that I ordered from Hyundai not Genesis.
It takes about 1 hour in total. They require the engine to be running the whole time BUT not driving. In theory ,I signed up for future updates to be OTA.
Noteworthy that the update is Hyundai but no Hyundai Dealer will touch my Genesis even for an oil change ! I have a nearby Hyundai dealer and 2 Kia dealers. A visit to the Genesis dealer is a 7 hour round trip for me !

I finally got my car into the dealership and they were able to delete my profile. I printed out and gave them the posts from the ones posted here that had worked for others. It was also a great experience with my closest dealership, which is Cardinaleway Genesis in Corona, CA. I was worried after reading about so many bad experiences people had with their dealerships.
 
Hopefully my final update on the OTA debacle .. Yesterday after a 2 month wait for the part, a new head unit was installed .. the engineer backed up most of my settings and restored them minus the fingerprint , map settings and audio preferences. everything else seems to be working now including connected services . I will not be setting a fingerprint and just use the pin if I need to change anything . To be fair I will call out the service manager at the new dedicated Genesis of Las Vegas for helping me through the process since July ..
 
Having an older model without the fingerprint, what exactly does the finger print do and where do you stick your fingerprint for reading?

It’s located to the right of the steering wheel, below the engine start / stop .. I thought it would actually do more but for my 2023 gv70 2.5t. In reality unless you have more than one regular driver it is fairly useless .. individual driver profiles could select their own ambient lighting , nav and radio preferences steering wheel position etc . I never used it in reality
 
Jayzala have you gotten this resolved. I am having the same exact issue. Spoke with customer care twice and hasn't been resolved. The last person I spoke with said she would turn in to the engineers and they should be calling me in about 7 days. That was 14 days ago.
I have a new GV80 Coupe that is locked in the User Agreement screen and will not allow for access to any profile. I've tried the battery disconnection and pressing Map and Setup at same time but it shows an error message saying can't Unavailable in User Agreement. Any new attempted fixes that you received.
