That makes sense. I guess us Ultimate drivers will just have to survive with what little our cars have to offer lol.

Nah, it really is nice. And I can already imagine a few kf the drawbacks of using AA. Like the map not integrating with the hud like the stock gps does.

I don't miss AA/Car Play at all. Our Kia Soul has it & it's kinda of a PITA to use.

For a couple of weeks I had a loaner Sonata with Carplay. It was cool and had a high gadget factor to it. It was something new to me and I said to myself "I need this", so I bought the update and now I have CarPlay. I rarely use it. In fact, I really only use it because I paid $175 for it.

With Bluetooth and nav already built in and the ability to just plug your phone in for music, there's not really anything else I need. I guess the ability to have Siri read and send texts via voice is cool, but I tend to ignore my phone when driving anyway. Oh well...

i think you can use google maps on CarPlay too. i don't use it much though. i prefer the built in nav.

I spoke with the dealer where I purchased my 3.8 Ultimate and let them know that my nav was never updated before I purchased the car.

They are installing it for free next week and replacing the H on the trunk with wings for free also. They're really awesome.

Someone mentioned earlier that you can update via the same SD more than once? If so, I'm happy to send it to whoever wants it after my update.

I also have a 2015 Ultimate with a version 8.5 map and would love to get your SD if it has not been claimed by someone else already.

I would think a cloned image to an identical card should work but we'll see if he has a better solution.
