  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Check this out guys.... looks to be bagged and a twin turbo set up. Not my style but still very cool. I am trying to track down the owner.

Not my style either......must be owned by a 12 year old :=)

you've got to appreciate the time and effort spent on that engine...

Your right.... a lot of time and money BUT what does it give you ?
A possible fast car that your can't drive on the road because it drives like a truck:)

I'm not a big fan of the "drop" either but to each his/her own. The twin turbo is interesting. But wouldn't that require a modified ECU? Perhaps this is just for show...

The slammed look? Not my style. A functioning twin-turbo engine? Hell yeah that's my style!!!

Bags, guys. It raises up, too. ;)
I assume this would have an AEM standalone tucked away inside.

AEM V2 would be the way to go. Hyundai is notorious for have very difficult to tune ECU's so the standalone system would be the only alternative for fuel and air management.

I am not a fan on the slammed look but at least with bags it can be raised to factory height and driven without fear of ripping the bumpers off. Still a cool build.

Would you lose any of the technology features with a standalone ECU?

I wouldn't think so. I'd like to get the owner to chime in but no one could seem to find him!

Yeah, I'd love to know. I bet a lot of people here would have a twin turbo Genesis...

I will take those black Genesis wings!! :)

Think I saw that car in a Hyundai sponsored video for SEMA a while back but it could have been a different one.

Assuming that it rides like shit cause it is on bags is a common misconception about air suspension in general. My car is on bags and rides a thousand times better than stock. It is all about having a proper setup just like if you were running coilovers.

I think you are spot on, it is the Steal Phenix that (supposedly) can produce 600hp , here is SEMA 2014 Hyundai line up (skip to around 6:35);

I could be wrong but as far as I know, it is a show car, which means it is mostly done as a theoretical exercise, because TOCA does not seem to sell or market any products related to the Genesis (johntoca.com)

Screw the 600hp V8, I want the 888 whp Sonata. That thing must go like stink.

I actually like this car. Not a huge fan of the bags but everything else looks good to me. And I typically don't like modified Genesi.

That's what I remember as well.

LOL...888 hp to the front wheels. The only thing that will go like stink is the tires, torque steer that would redefine the term "power steering" and the understeer would be legendary. Be fun to watch tho.

It might actually be decent from a roll! :p But probably squirrelly with each shift...
