For about the past two years, my moonroof would have intermittent issues closing and opening. The problem would surface as a loud clicking as if the motor's gears were skipping and the glass was jamming. Messing with it enough would eventually get it shut, but I would usually just not mess with it at all.
The first time I took it in, the dealership replaced the motor. The issue came back after awhile. Took it back to them a second time about a month and a half ago; they again replaced the motor and the issue didn't go away. They then moved on to replacing the entire track/moonroof assembly. For this repair, it required the removal of the rear window
As of now, I'm still waiting for them to return the vehicle. I'm hoping they didn't mess anything else up in the process of removing the rear window.
I have been provided with a loaner '15 Genesis 5.0; they're not going to be terribly excited with the amount of miles I've had to put on the loaner, but oh well.
