I am really enjoying the Lexicon (and the Genesis) but I do have a few questions about DVD-audio and SACD.
1. DVD-audio sounds great! However, the song titles display except as "Track 1," Track 2" etc. The title of the DVD does display on the "changer" so that is helpful, but it would be nice to go to a specific song instead of having to know which song is which "track."
2. A regular CD has the same type of display as the DVD-audio on the tracks, but even the title of the CD is not displayed. when loaded with six CDs, I cannot know which one to go to unless I memorize the order they are loaded.
3. SACD sounds about like a regular CD instead of surround. But both the name of the disc and the individual titles on SACD display properly, which is a real bonus compared to CDs and DVD-A.
4. The sound from a DVD-Video disc is great, but when driving the system does not display the screen and does not seem to have a way to switch to another disc except for unloading the DVD disc. Neither can I get to the audio settings while the DVD video is playing. I can get to a menu to change tracks ("next chapter"), but it is an awkward operation.

Does anyone know a way to display CD titles on the Lexicon? A way to display track titles on CDs or SACDs?

Does anyone know how to get SACD to surround mode?

Is there a way to display the list of discs in the "changer" when the one playing is a DVD-video disc? Even if not, is there a method to switch to a different CD without unloading the video disc?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
 
1. SACD is not supported by the Lexicon.
2. I agree that "track 1, track 2" is annoying, but it is what it is.
3. When in a DVD-V have you tried hitting the back button? Doesn't that take you to the list of discs?
 
Thanks for the tip on the back button when using DVD-V. I thought I had pressed everything to get back to the list of other discs, but I had missed that. I tried it after reading your post and voila!

Even without the surround I am glad I can see titles on SACD discs, and they do play just like regular CDs. I hope eventually a software upgrade might make that possible for all CDs.

I think I have the ULTIMATE set of music to show off the capabilities of the Lexicon system. I ran it through mine at a voume around 13-15 with the EQ set at a couple different defaults and it sounds awesome. These are solo acoustic guitar performances, but even if that's not your thing they're worth downloading as something to show off the system. The Beatles “Love” DVD Audio disk is the most amazing sound I’ve ever heard especially in a car. Even if you’re not a Beatle fan you have to be impressed by the shear technological achievement of this disk. They exploited this DVD-A media to it’s fullest extent. Whenever somebody gets in the car and I say “Listen to this” their jaws just drop. The surround effect has to be heard to be appreciated. It is in my opinion the ultimate demo source. I love the sound system in this car. It all sounds good. But these DVD-A disks are in a class by them selves. Try one.

ExLonghorn, if this is to your taste, then I recommend the extended version of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by Santa Esmeralda. It sounds truly awesome on the Lexicon. I also agree with another poster that the Beatles Love DVD is amazing.

Not a DVD-A, but after listening to 101 Eastbound by Fourplay, I have a renewed love for this system.

I agree that the "Love" DVD-A sounds great on the Lexicon. As a Beatles purist, though, there are some variations and mixes on the disc that I don't like as much as the originals. I sure wish that I could listen to the entire Beatles catalog like this, though. After listening to my two DVDs, the music on my iPod sounds flat.

I totaly agree Waveman it's not a purist disk but an impressive "Wow" disk.
 
Seal Soul Live

I am getting my 2012 4.6 in 13 days. I am a big Seal fan.
Has anyone tried the DVD Seal Soul Live in their Lexicon? How does it sound?
I don't believe there is a DVD-A for either Soul Live or Soul?
