  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've added an aftermarket subwoofer to my 2015 Ultimate, and it seems like it adds just the right amount of punch to the sound that I feel the stock system is lacking. I keep the bass knob turned down to like 1/3 most of the time, turning it up mostly for some older 80s songs that I feel need a little help (hey, I love the 80s okay? And before you make fun of it, my 2 and 3 year olds absolutely love Madonna's old music, even upon hearing it the first time).

On to the point. My problem is, whenever I have people in the car and I want to jam a little bit showing off my ride, my car is so comfortable that everyone falls asleep! I took my kids to the zoo on Saturday (along with the babysitter- there's no way I can handle two toddlers alone at the zoo and my wife was traveling), and both for the trip there and the return trip, I look over and I'm the only one awake! I then have to turn down the music until it's barely audible and switch to "Symphony" on XM. The same thing happened last night when picking up my wife from the airport: she was asleep before we even got on the expressway. Again, I have to turn the base wayyy down low and switch to Symphony. It's a good problem to have such a comfortable car, but man I'm beginning to take it personal that I'm putting everyone who rides in it asleep!

Great story.

When we go to lunch in my car, my coworkers always want me to take the long way to the lunch. lol

Do like the guy on the chevy truck commercial. Take a little shortcut with some bumps and and curves :) That'll wake them up or make the little ones poop their diapers. :D Either way, they are awake!
