  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have the navi brightness setting set on automatic yet I notice that recently it keeps cycling from bright to night time dark during the day whenever i go under a lot of trees or heavy cloud cover. Anyone know of any other sensitivity setting besides under "settings" in the DIS menu?

I had the same problem with my 2009 Genesis. I'd asked the tech at my dealer about it but they looked and checked with Hyundai Canada and there is no adjustment for the sensitivity. It seems some vehicles are worse than others. In the 2009 it would switch going underneath overpasses even on bright sunny days. Because of this I couldn't leave the headlights in "Auto" mode (they use the same sensor) as traffic in front of me would think I am flashing my lights at them.

My current 2012 is much better, almost to the other extrreme where it has to be almost dark before the Nav screen switches over.
