  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there any way to bypass the Nav Caution Screen I'm greeted to every time I turn on the sedan? Even if I could default to the radio or info screens, it would be better than having to look at that nagging lawyer speak if I don't hit enter!
Also, if anyone has links to other possible hacks (like disabling the bells if I unbuckle my seat belt entering a parking lot)?

So far, none of us have found any hacks or other work-arounds. The nanny screen is something we will have to just live with. The only way to get rid of it without hitting the DIS button is to drive in reverse, but this would get tiresome after the first dozen miles or so... :D

My Acura had the same type of warning notice. Its a lawyer thing.

My Avalon had the nag screen, too, but at least you could have it default to info or radio.

Just makes me feel like a scolded child, in an otherwise enjoyable vehicle.

Every system I've seen has this warning for the Nav portion.

I think the key phrase is "when I turn on the sedan". If this is the scenario, all you are required to do is ensure you leave the LCD tuned to one of the other inputs (XM, FM, etc) prior to turning off the Genesis.

Whatever was last on your screen is what will appear when you next start the car.

The nav caution screen will always show the nanny when you want to display the nav screen.

That isn't the case for the Tech package, it asks ever time no matter what setting you left it on.

Silly question but I assume it doesn’t time out on your model?

You don't give the model car you have or anything else. I assume the DIS button is not working?

Only thing you can do is wait for it to time out. There is no setting to change anything to eliminate it. You'd have to get special dispensation from the lawyers to do so.

No one answered G-969282. I have the same problem. 2012 4.6. Stuck on nanny screen. Press enter and nothing happens. When pushing buttons for radio etc you can see the borders of the other screens working properly. Put the car in reverse and screen for camera perfect. It seems to be a problem with the contact because this happened 6 months ago and if I pushed up and then down it worked. Any thoughts.
